My fiancé, Matt, and I met on Lido Beach in Sarasota during the Sarasota Boat Races two and a half years ago. As a budding dermatologist, I was coming out of the ocean to reapply my sunscreen and he asked me out to dinner. We went on our first date that night which was awkward because I was staying at my parents’ house at the time and my parents insisted on answering the door. However the date went well and he was sweet enough to drive to Gainesville, where I was living at the time, the next weekend to go on our second dinner date. Despite the distance, we have been inseparable ever since. Last spring, he planned a secret vacation to California where he proposed at Sunset in the middle of a vineyard. I couldn’t have felt luckier or happier to spend my life with him. Soon after we got engaged, my training took me to New York City and luckily Matt was able to transfer his Florida based job as well. We are planning to get married this fall on Lido Beach where we met. I grew up in Sarasota and Matt is originally from Colorado; he moved to Sarasota in 2006 to work for a company called METI (Medical Education Technologies, Inc). Most of our family and friends live in Sarasota and we are hoping to move back when school is finished.

My fiancé and I are going to be wed on May 27, 2012 on the beach in Clearwater, FL. The theme for our wedding is a vintage jazz beach brunch, showcasing our classic style.  It’s so awesome that you are having this contest because we feel your artistic style matches ours so perfectly.   Winning this contest would help us realize our dream of starting a new life together.  We are currently both students, he at the University of Florida and I at Florida State (yeah, I know, a house divided, lol). Our adventure in the land of engagement began in March 2010 while parasailing in Daytona, FL where he proposed to me in midair.  We really look forward to you putting your artistic stamp on the memories of our special day. I have attached a photo of us that I love. He is supposed to be saving me, a damsel in distress, but as you can see it goes horribly wrong : )

My southern prince in steel-toed boots is Seth. We are high school sweethearts and are getting married in October of this year after 3 years together. He is only 19 years old, I’m 20 and he is the most hardworking man you will ever meet. He passed up playing college football to start working to provide for us and eventually our family. That has always been a big deal for me that he loves me so much he wanted to be with me more than anything! I try everyday to show him how much I love him and appreciate all he has sacrificed. There’s always those things that attract one to the other like they are sweet, kind, loving, funny, honest etc. We love those things about each other but it’s so important that we have FUN!!! There’s so much in life that can bring us down and we have had our fair share of heartache. But when we take off running in the pasture and tackle each other to the ground just rolling around, I laugh so hard I cry and forget about everything. I want our wedding to reflect our personalities so we are having an outdoors, vintage country wedding. I can’t wait for our family and friends to come together and celebrate. Our grandparents and parents have had long, fruitful marriages and we want to carry on that legacy.  He works full time 3rd shift at a wire manufacturing plant and I work full time with special needs children. Money is tight and I do not want to put any burden on my parents. But if I got lucky enough to win this contest we could relax and be assured that the things we want most ( photos! ) could be covered. And I want to take his breath away when I walk down the isle ( hair! ). I would be forever grateful and never forget who made it unforgettable!
